NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. – Augusta State junior Casey Kennedy registered a 1-over 73 Sunday in the third and final round of the Purdue Mount Vintage Invitational, good enough for her third collegiate victory.
Kennedy posted three birdies over the first 11 holes and owned a six-stroke lead heading the down the stretch. She won despite a miscue on the 13th hole and a double bogey on the par-4 18th. Over the 54-hole event, Kennedy carded a total of nine birdies.
ASU senior Natalie Wille took fourth after turning in a 2-over 74 while Marit Bjerke (78) was 21st, Shannon Pak (77) was 22nd and Christine Duschek-Hansen (86) was 26th. Playing as individuals, freshman Stephanie Bennett booked her low round of the season with a 2-over 74 and tied for 14th, while senior Julia Stalbro (87) tied for 27th.
Coastal Carolina combined for a 310 and edged No. 28 Iowa State by a single shot. Purdue, ranked 15th in the nation, took third, just three shots back. ASU finished fourth, followed by Delaware and IUPUI.

The Lady Jags are back in action next weekend when they play host to the Insperity Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate at Forest Hills Golf Club on Friday, March 15. The three-day, 54-hole event is free of charge and open to the public.
