BRASELTON, Ga. — The American Junior Golf Association has announced a three-year partnership with Transamerica, a leading provider of life insurance, savings and retirement and investment solutions, as an Official Partner.
As an Official Partner of the AJGA, Transamerica will support the Transamerica Junior-Am Fundraising Tournament Series and the Transamerica Scholastic Junior All-America Team.
“We are proud to partner with an organization that, much like Transamerica, is dedicated to supporting young men and women and their families as they work to improve their lives and pursue their dreams,” Transamerica spokesperson Brian Forbes said. “The AJGA’s emphasis on growth and character development aligns so well with Transamerica’s passion for helping people improve those parts of life that positively influence their health and wealth.”
In 2016, the AJGA will host 54 Junior-Am Fundraising Tournaments. Junior-Ams give local amateurs a chance to compete with top AJGA players in an outing to raise money for local charities and the AJGA’s Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE Grant).
Each year, the AJGA honors 12 boys and 12 girls as members of the Transamerica Scholastic Junior-All America Team. Honorees are selected based on SAT/ACT test scores, AP subject test scores, GPA, school leadership, community service and writing skills as showcased in original essay.
“The AJGA is thrilled to partner with Transamerica,” said Stephen Hamblin, AJGA Executive Director. “Transamerica’s commitment to improving the wellbeing of AJGA members and their families makes for an exciting and successful partnership.”
