Ollie Schniederjans, Atlanta native and PGA TOUR professional, is hosting his first American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) event, the Callaway Golf / Ollie Schniederjans Junior Classic, April 27 – 29, 2018 at The Country Club of the South in Johns Creek, Georgia.
Before playing college golf at Georgia Tech, Schniederjans was a two-time Rolex Junior All-American and AJGA Invitational champion. In 2014, he rose to No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, a position he held for 41 weeks. Schniederjans turned professional in 2015, earning his first professional win at the Web.com Tour’s 2016 Air Capital Classic. He is currently No. 55 in the FedExCup Rankings and No. 84 in the Official World Golf Rankings.
Callaway has been a longtime supporter of junior golf and began its involvement with the AJGA in 1991. Currently Callaway is the sponsor of the Callaway Golf / Ollie Schniederjans Junior Classic, Callaway Golf Junior Championship and the Sergio and Angela Garcia Foundation Junior Championship presented by Callaway Golf.
Tyler Lipscomb, from Carrollton, Ga is a top player to watch. Lipscomb recently won his first AJGA event at the AJGA Junior at Lost Springs presented by Visit Bentonville over Easter. At No. 40 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, Lipscomb has recorded five top-five finishes in his AJGA career. The junior is verbally committed to the University of Alabama.
