DALTON, Ga. – In a thrilling conclusion at The Farm Golf Club in Dalton, Todd Ormsby, PGA of America Director of Golf Professional at Highland Country Club emerged victorious at the Georgia PGA Senior Division Championship supported by GOLF Channel and The PGA TOUR. Over a demanding 36-hole stroke?play competition, Ormsby outpaced a strong field, showcasing his outstanding form and securing the championship title.
The Newnan native, already a standout figure in regional events, brought home the win and joined an elite group of four qualifications. Alongside Ormsby, fellow competitors Head PGA Professional Richard Rebne at The Farm Golf Club, PGA Director of Instruction David Potts at Country Club of the South, and Head PGA Professional Todd Sapere at Ohoopee Match Club earned coveted spots in the Senior PGA Professional Championship taking place this October at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Their achievements underscore Georgia’s deep pool of senior talent and the high caliber of competition witnessed this week.
Ormsby’s victory continues a season of exceptional performance: he currently leads the Senior Professional Player of the Year standings and recently secured first-place finishes at the Sapelo Hammock Senior Classic, Southeast Senior Classic, and Lake Arrowhead Senior Classic.
